A Spring Wedding

I attended my nephew's wedding yesterday and my heart is full of joy!  When the bride started walking down the isle I almost burst into tears. Stephanie was so beautiful and glowing with love, smiling at her groom.  Andrew is a lucky man!

Naturally, I made a special card for this joyous occasion.

If you haven't guessed already, I'm a huge fan of white on white cards, and embossing.  For this card I used my Softly Falling TIEF on the Whisper White layer, then die cut the heart in Blushing Bride and the 'congrats' sentiment in Silver Glimmer Paper both from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

This sentiment is perfect for a wedding card.
Both the sentiment and flower images are from Colourful Seasons.

Oh boy, I am one determined gal. I wanted the 'congrats' sentiment raised so I cut a dimensional into slivers and used tweezers to place them on the back of the sentiment.  So happy it worked!

A simple, yet elegant card, made with love for Stephanie and Andrew.

The happy couple.

Below are some of the supplies I used.
Not pictured: Whisper White paper, Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue

I love hearing from you. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Happy Birthday & Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper

Hello friends!  I love sharing things that inspire me.  Today I drew inspiration from my morning walk.  Spending time outside this time of year is simply amazing!  Gardens are bursting with spring flowers.

My card features one of the lovely prints in the new Delightful Daisy DSP.  This paper is WOW!

I used  Wisteria Wonder cardstock for the base of the card, then added Delightful Daisy DSP for the layer.  Not wanting to cover too much of the layer, I used my Swirly Scribbles Thinlits to die cut Whisper White paper.  The sentiment is from the new Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, which I cut using my Classic Label punch.

Delightful Daisy DSP - gorgeous double sided papers!

Sneak Peek Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to our first Tri-City Stampers Blog Hop!  We're so excited to have you join us for our sneak peeks of brand new Stampin' Up! products.

Yesterday was Mother's Day, and I was thinking about my mom.  I know she would have loved this simple and pretty card.

Here is the first of two projects I have to show you.

I used Whisper White for the card base and added a layer of gorgeous Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.

I stamped two daisies in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White cardstock, used my Daisy punch, then offset the flowers, adhering them with a Glue Dot.  To complete the daisy, I added a Silver Faceted Gem - so sparkly!  For a pop of colour, I used Double-Stitched Ribbon in Daffodil Delight.

I first die cut the circle in Whisper White cardstock using a Stitched Framelit.
The  'Thinking of You' sentiment is from the Colourful Seasons stamp set.
Are you loving this set as much as me?

A few daisies for the inside of the card.

I was having so much fun, that after stamping the inside of the card, I layered another daisy.
I hope you can you see it in the pic.

For my second project, I made an adorable little gift tag.

The Scalloped Tag Topper punch I used is perfect for making gift tags.

I used Daffodil Delight on the daisy and  Old Olive for the greenery, which is from Daisy Delight.
Brand new Glitter Enamel Dots to add dimension and sparkle.  Aren't they pretty!
Super quick and easy!  I seriously can't get enough of the Delightful Daisy Suite.

The new products I used for my projects (shown below), and everything from the rest of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue will be available as of June 1, 2017.

An Early Arrival

Imagine my joy when, earlier today I saw a UPS truck a mere block away from my house!  Originally the delivery of new goodies and catalogues was set for tomorrow, but I'm happy to get one of the deliveries a day early!  Anyway, I was certain my new goodies would be waiting for me when I arrived home - but I was wrong. Yup, that happens once in a while...teehee. Then a question popped into my head....since it apparently wasn't the truck I had seen, how exactly was my package being delivered?

By water?

Perhaps by a mountain climbing team?

Dogsled - are we sure winter is truly over?

Ooooh...by parasail? That would be interesting!!

Ah...well now, this makes sense!

So, as I patiently await the delivery, I'm sitting here thinking about why I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator last June.  I joined as a hobby demo to get a 20% discount.  However after recently attending a Stampin' Up! OnStage event (which, btw was beyond awesome), and holding two workshops, it turns out I want to be a full-fledged demonstrator!  I enjoy teaching and sharing what I've learned about cards, paper crafts, inks, tools, and so on.  Trust me, I was nervous at both workshops, after all I am new at this, but guess what? I survived. 😊 Plus, I'm learning and having fun!  Does it get any better!! Whether you want to have a Stampin' Up! business or be a hobby demonstrator - that's your choice entirely.  Read more on this topic here.

Jeepers, I just finished the above paragraph when I spotted the UPS truck in front of my house - yay!!  Naturally I lept to my feet, ran to the door, and was standing outside in bare feet to accept the package.  Oh the anticipation!!! Would it be my order of new goodies or boxes of catalogues?

Drumroll......

...it's....

.........it's..............

Two Sneak Peeks! Colourful Season & In Colours 2017-2018

I found a frame at Ikea and knew it would be perfect for a little something I had in mind for my Colour Season bundle framed project. My judgement on the size was a little off (please forgive me), so I couldn't fit all the Muskoka/Adirondack chairs in the frame.  I have provided samples of the new In Colours further down in the post for you.

It's not quite summer weather yet at only 5 degrees celsius outside. thus bare feet in sandals wasn't my brightest idea...tee hee.  However, I really wanted an outdoor 'summery' pic of this project with natural light and one of my gardens in the background.  So, without further ado, here's my project. 😃

Beautiful detail in the chairs.

Don't you just love the gorgeous font in this sentiment!

Are you as excited about the  Colourful Season Bundle, and the new In Colours as me?  Then be sure to read to the end of this post! By the way - I'm big on getting value for my hard earned dollars, and as this bundle can be used all year and for many occasions - that spells v-a-l-u-e to me!  Weeee...happy dance!

In Colours 2017-2018

Fresh Fig

Lemon Lime Twist

Powder Pink
